Our Story

Vale & Stone began with a love for gemstones that started long before the brand existed.

My name is Elena Vale, and my story with gemstones started with my father, Thomas.

Almost 50 years ago, when he was in his early twenties, my father travelled through Jaipur, India. Surrounded by gemstone traders, cutters and small workshops, he discovered a world that would shape the rest of his life.

What began as curiosity became a lifelong passion.

Over the years, he learned how to judge stones by far more than appearance alone. He studied their color, clarity, cut, character and imperfections, built relationships with people he trusted, and developed the kind of eye that only comes from decades of experience.

Growing up, that knowledge became part of my childhood.

He taught me to look closer.

To understand that every stone has its own character.

And that gemstones have always been valued for more than beauty alone.

Across cultures and generations, different stones have been connected to different meanings, energies and intentions.

As I grew older, I started to feel that connection myself.

Certain stones simply felt different to me.

Some felt grounding.

Some energizing.

Some calming.

Others felt like they carried a sense of confidence, love, protection or possibility.

That belief became a huge part of how I came to see gemstones, and eventually, how I built Vale & Stone.

How Vale & Stone Began

When I was 28, I decided to take everything I had grown up learning and turn it into something I could share with other women.

That was the beginning of Vale & Stone.

I wanted to create gemstone jewelry that felt beautiful enough to wear every day, but carried something far deeper than decoration alone.

With my father's experience behind me, his standards for quality and the relationships he had spent decades building, I began selecting gemstones and turning them into rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings designed around what each stone holds and represents.

From the beginning, Vale & Stone was never meant to be jewelry chosen only because it looked beautiful.

I believe gemstones carry their own energy, meaning and power.

Carnelian can make you feel bolder, more confident and more magnetic.

Citrine carries the energy of abundance, success and possibility.

Rose Quartz is tied to love, self-love and deeper emotional connection.

Amethyst brings a sense of calm, clarity and stillness.

Black Obsidian is one of the stones I turn to for protection and grounding.

Moonstone has always felt deeply connected to intuition, feminine energy and new beginnings.

Labradorite carries the feeling of transformation, especially when life is asking you to become someone new.

That belief has guided the pieces we create for the last 13 years.

Every piece was chosen around one simple question:

What do you want this stone to bring into your life?

I have now spent 13 years building Vale & Stone and hearing the stories behind why women choose certain pieces.

Some were stepping into a new chapter.

Some wanted to feel more confident.

Some wanted more love, abundance, calm or protection in their lives.

Others chose a piece of gemstone jewelry for someone they loved because of what that stone holds and what they hoped it could bring into that person's life.

That has always been the heart of Vale & Stone.

Beautiful jewelry with a meaning and energy that goes far beyond how it looks.

Our Final Chapter

After 13 years, I have decided to step away from Vale & Stone.

The jewelry currently available will be our final collection, and once these pieces are gone, there will be no restock.

My father taught me how to choose a stone.

Life taught me how powerful the right stone can feel when it enters your life at the right moment.

Now I am closing one chapter of my life.

Maybe one of these final stones belongs at the beginning of yours.
